Jim was a great friend and ReMax agent in Alexandria.

He was always upbeat and positive, and enjoyed the company of others.

He would always invite friends to attend an Open House, and personally made a plate of cookies for all to enjoy.

Jim Collins was one of my best friends in midde thru high school. We were members of a fraternity and went to Europe together and saw the world during a summer in High School. We did not see much of each other after High School other than meeting at a party for him just before he died. I attended his funeral and a lot of us attended because Jim was an honest to God good friend to people but mainly he was great human being and married a nice women.

I didn't know Jim, personally though each of us were classmates at TC and later, Madison College.

But at one TC Reunion at Fort Ward, Jim manned the big grill, cooking dogs and burgers for everyone.

It was very hot that day and he was sweating. But he never once complained about the heat or the fire from the grill.
