I adored Sarah, she was strange and wonderful and I just wanted to be around her all the time. She'd have parties at her place in Old Town (I loved her whole family), and when she didn't want people around anymore, she'd put Leonard Cohen on the stereo. Cleared the room every time. Then the few of us who remained usually went offf with her to the cemetary. She joined me in a model peer counseling program and proved herself more fearless than me, and we were together in Auntie Mame, where she managed to outshine Fran Ogilvie AND Ed Girod.

I was in a bad accident after High School, and she was the only person who could administer brutal physical therapy that I couldn't handle alone. And when I went to college, I put her in a surrealistic film where she co-starred with The Washington Cathedral. Which she did with aplomb. She was brilliant and caustic and hard to keep up with. She was also deeply troubled and I tried my best to help.

I will never forget her.

Matt, thanks so much for your memories of Sarah.  I too have very fond memories of her.
