ANNOUNCEMENTS

TC WILLIAMS CLASS OF 1973 50th REUNION SCHOLARSHIP

We are thrilled to announce that with the funds remaining in our account after our 50th reunion, your TC Williams Class of 1973 made a scholarship availble to a 2024 graduating senior through the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. We are so proud of the legacy that we are able to pass on to this remarkable student. Here is the letter of thanks that was forwarded to us:

I would like to thank you for this award, TCW Class of 1973 50th Reunion Scholarship. This award is important to me because it provides me the opportunity to attend a prestigious university while removing some of the burden that may come by attending these schools due to the cost of tuition and other fees that accumulate up and could cause debt and other factors that come with taking out loans for higher education. I appreciate this scholarship and how you have been able to hold a deep connection with your high school class even after 50 years. I hope to hold the same connection with my own class such as how you have been able to and create lifelong relationships which will help me grow my network and expand my career.

I'll be attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg and I will be majoring in finance. I will be a part of this Centennial Scholars Program there as it is a program that is going to help me connect in college with certain people and have a mentor that will allow me the opportunity to develop my career. I have interest in sports as well as in volunteering as I believe that anybody should take part in helping the community when they can.

My post career plans after graduating will be to own a business and to be a social entrepreneur that will help my community, especially coming from a latin home I hope to connect my community and the cultures. I hope to do this by organizing certain events that include diverse cultures as coming from Alexandria it is a very diverse place with a blend of cultures that keeps you open-minded.

Sincerely,

Danny Portillo Cardona

Attention Members of Classes Other than 1973

When finding your name, scroll to the bottom of the Classmate Profiles page where you will find  Guest Members listed by year.

Please, when updating or changing the details of your personal information on this website, do not alter the punctuation marks, periods, or spaces that appear before the first initial of your last name.  Those marks are the only way we have to keep you subgrouped by your correct class.  It may seem odd, but it is the only way we found to separate the classes from each other for easy identification.  If your last name is incorrect or you are listed in the wrong class, please notify the site administrator, by clicking on Contact Us in the left hand column of the Home Page, with the corrections and have them make the alterations. Any other details may be changed directly by you.

Thank you.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to classmate Chip Lubsen on being inducted into the Alexandria City Public Schools inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame.
