My father would have prefered Col. Bruce.  He was very proud of his country and served for 26 years.  He was wounded on Biak Island off the coast of New Guinea but never acknowleded it because he was seeing to the welfair of his troops during a Japanese attack.

Dear Burr, my sympathy to you and your family and hoping that your good memories sustain you. My sister Aileen and I both had Colonel Bruce and remember him fondly. He was a core person in the original TC Williams and thereafter at the combined TCW. Take good care, Beth Natrella

Col. Bruce was an outstanding math teacher and departmental leader. TC was one of the first high schools to have a computer in the Math Department in 1970 for students who learned to write code and operate the computer.  It was my honor to work with Col Bruce while serving as TCW principal 1970-73.

Burton Bruce

Dear Friends:

I thank everybody for thier kind comments!  A few days ago I (around fathers day) went in and updated my fathers Memory page.  It left an impression that he just died.  In fact he passed more than 20 years ago at a good age of 85 a result of the many diseases that he had in the south pacific during WW2.  I believe he was a great man and always did his duty.  Again I than you all for your well wishes.

Burton B. Bruce Jr  (Burr)
