My father would have prefered Col. Bruce. He was very proud of his country and served for 26 years. He was wounded on Biak Island off the coast of New Guinea but never acknowleded it because he was seeing to the welfair of his troops during a Japanese attack.

Col. Bruce was an outstanding math teacher and departmental leader. TC was one of the first high schools to have a computer in the Math Department in 1970 for students who learned to write code and operate the computer. It was my honor to work with Col Bruce while serving as TCW principal 1970-73.
I thank everybody for thier kind comments! A few days ago I (around fathers day) went in and updated my fathers Memory page. It left an impression that he just died. In fact he passed more than 20 years ago at a good age of 85 a result of the many diseases that he had in the south pacific during WW2. I believe he was a great man and always did his duty.
